Can anyone, can we display the mouse pointer in VR mode?

I found that in vam's VR, the mouse can actually be clicked to take effect, but it just doesn't show up.

I am using VR equipment: reverb g2, it is wmr, windows mixed reality.

just like this (hs2 support it)

A mouse works on a 2D surface. VR is 3D. How would you even move the mouse pointer around in a 3D space?

I presume the idea is it would project the mouse pointer from the 2D screen to the 2D UI that is rendered in the VR 3D space. So when you're hovering over a button with your mouse it'll render the mouse cursor over that button on the VR UI, for example.

It'd be a cool feature but I'd be surprised if that plugin existed already

Has anyone tried the 3D mouse; 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Compact Ambidextrous 3D Mouse? Seems to cost about $150 but says it was designed to be used in 3D applications. Wish I could afford it.
