I was wondering if black jack would be with in the reach of VAM. I have Oculus, and play this little black jack game with cartoon lady, that has zero personality nor anything going for her as the dealer. But she still manages to kick my but most of the time, just like casinos in real life, it it takes place in a casino and you can hear horrible music, and the dinging of the slots. I just can imagine, how much better this would be in VAM. I would think there could be some free black jack algorithms on the internet. Any way, just wanted to see if the people in know, thought this could be possible. Down the road, maybe, poker, and chess. LOL With AI Chat, this could be even better, just like a scene, sitting at a bar and be served drinks would be cool with AI chat in VAM, I know that is just around the corner.

It certainly sounds within the realm of possibility. A small matter of programming as we say in engineering. There are things like the float param randomizer plugin that could be used to "shuffle" a deck of cards. Poker is a much more complicated game than blackjack, but strip poker would be a hoot!

Implementing the rules of the game itself shoudn't be too much of a problem for a decent coder.
The main issue arises if you want for exampe the card dealing animated. Cards being picked up and put in different places. Still, while tedious to setup, still quite possible to achieve.

I would recommend using IdlePoser with a dealing animation where one end is anchored to the different positions where you want the cards to end up. That anchor could again be moved around by another IdlePoser. Use ParentHoldLink to make the hand hold the card. Use a custom plugin to switch textures on a CUA with the playing cards. Instead of actually attach/detaching a card to the hand, I recommend to enable/disable CUAs at the right time.

Old example of grabing a phone with IdlePoser/ParentHoldLink. However, here the object is actually attached/detached, which you would not need if you have multiple CUA to enable/disable:

Thanks for you input, that is very cool. I hope someone in the know picks up the challenge, there are some smart people here for sure and I would support for sure. I respect your input, and if you think it can be done, I know it can! I think it would be a real step forward in VAM, and open up new playable possibilities. It would definitely be a scene I would be going back to many many times, for sure.
