gobgob submitted a new resource:

AutoSkeletonBuilder - physic, skeleton, unityasset, collision

AutoSkeletonBuilder (BETA)
===================
A runtime auto-rigging plugin for Virt-A-Mate.

[[[Unselect show bones 3D point for it to work ]]] it's not perfect yet I guess but pretty tricky do dev for me since it's my first time

WHAT IT DOES
------------
AutoSkeletonBuilder takes a rigid CustomUnityAsset (hair, tentacles, cloth
strips, or any similar multi-piece mesh) and turns it into a physically
simulated, jiggling object - entirely inside VaM...

WHAT'S NEW

THIS IS A DIFFERENT LEVEL FROM THE BETA WAY STRONGER

** Skeletons that actually follow your mesh **

Bones are now placed using geodesic distance ALONG the mesh surface
instead of a straight axis. Curved strands, spirals, hooks and U-shapes
get clean, evenly spaced bone chains that hug the real curve.

** Branched meshes finally work (hairdos!) **

Meshes whose strands merge into one connected piece...

I'm building a new update to manage collision and link to atom like person. So for example I'm testing a lot with Marina's hair it's not a simple CUA so perfect for testing. Right now I have a version on premise that actually make Marina's hair tentacules like with collision properly handled I'll keep you updated !

I'll try to make the plugin more user friendly I want full manage of the CUA but it's kind of a mess right now I'll work more on the UI for now on

Hello,

The link to the paid site is broken.
Could you show the rigging process in the video?
Is it possible to attach the two ends of the CUA?
A free lightweight version would be welcome for testing purposes.

i have a issue where the texture gets modified, not sure how to fix this.

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Sorry about the broken link, will fix it. Here's the correct one: [https://davidmoresta.gumroad.com/l/yttkb]
Good idea for a video, I'll make one for the next update maybe today.
Two-end attachment isn't supported yet, but I'll add it to the roadmap great IDEA ! if you could provide a scene so I can try and test, it would be great but I can find something.
The Lite (free) version is already available on the same page — same rigging pipeline, no collisions or advanced params. Perfect for testing.
I'll soon had some basic collision for testing !

Ok good, do you have any scene you could share so I can reproduce the artefact ?

It's night in France but tomorrow I'll be on to that ! Thanks for sharing!

For the two-end attachment I don't have a scene ready yet but the idea is to make a sort of milking machine: a flexible tube connected to the breast at one end and to a stationary bottle at the other end.

Super! Merci pour la video. Je vois comment ça marche maintenant. (Ton anglais est très correct pour un Français)

Ok here's a quick vid of a little fix I made I'll do some test with other mesh and publish it to the gumroad link

AutoSkeletonBuilder v2.11.1

  • FIX: Floating/Oversized Asset Scaling: Resolved an issue where the 2.11 pose capture caused certain meshes to spawn enlarged or floating above the scene. Because BakeMesh coordinate spaces vary by Unity version and rig setup, the plugin now dynamically validates each interpretation against the renderer's real on-screen bounds—falling back to the rest pose if no valid match is found.

  • Unified Link, Pin & Attach: Attachment controls have moved into LINK, PIN & ATTACH. Since they rely on the Parent atom and Body part selectors, keeping them separate caused confusion when opening the section without active target selections.
  • Collapsible Section Headers: Headers are now...
