Question AMD vs NVIDIA

I remember reading a long time ago that DAZ works better with nvidia GPUs . Something about the cuda cores. Does it follow that VAM will show better results with nvidia? I know that VAM is CPU intensive, but I'm shopping for a new GPU and would like to buy VAM friendly hardware. Will most VAM scenes go above 8gb vram? tia

Daz works better with Nvidia GPUs because the Iray rendering engine is from Nvidia. Others will have more info on what Vam prefers. There are a lot of scenes that will fit in 8GB vram.
