I was just curious whether I'm legally allowed to use screenshots and video recordings of VAM for a traditional visual novel made with Ren'Py. Basically, I'd like to use VAM instead of DAZ but the EULA isn't entirely clear on whether this is considered a derivative work or not. My interpretation of the EULA was that it meant that you can't make a derivative work of the VAM program itself, so I would think screenshots and recordings would be fine, but I just want to check to make sure.

All the assets off the hub I'd be using for screenshots and videos would be legally allowed (I won't use any NC content, etc).

Thanks for your time.

Yes, you are legally allowed to use VaM for this. Please be aware that every asset that you download from the hub is tied to specific licenses that you must follow. Like no NC content as you mentioned above. So anything CC-BY should have the creator's name in the credits of your novel.

However you are free to use any assets that you create and import yourself.
