The Adepta Sororitas often bear numerous scars for several reasons:

Orphaned girls who show potential for becoming Battle Sisters are selected and brought into the Schola Progenium. This is also where she got the tattoo on her wrist as her personal ID Code.

This Sister has a large Tattoo on her left Torso written in High Gothic, which is a fictional language created for the WH 40K setting. High Gothic is considered a sacred language used by the Imperium of Man. It is often associated with religious and ceremonial purposes.

The reason purity seals (as well as this tattoo) are written in High Gothic is to emphasize their significance and to convey a sense of ancient tradition and mysticism. It reinforces the notion that these seals are meant to signify the purity and devotion of the individuals who bear them, often serving as declarations of their loyalty to the Emperor and the Imperium
