Is there a tutorial for importing male clothing? I'm new to Vam and I haven't been able to find a tutorial on importing male clothing.... Yet! This guide was very helpful for getting me started on importing female clothing. Thank you a thousand times over.
I freaking love you! I have tried to make a simple head bandana for my first male look, but failed. The youtube tutorial on importing clothing from blender to DAZ had different buttons in their blender and my keyboard shortcuts didn't do the same as his, so I never finished it. With heels you have 3 options: first one is to import everything like in the guide above, then you need to morph the characters feet into the heels shape because they don't have collision, the second option is to only import the shoe as a clothing item and use only the heels of the high heels that come along with virtamate by default which is kind of a special cua-clothing item-mix + morph that the developers coded into the game which you can't do yourself just like the other "special" clothing items like pants with different stages or glasses. But the in game heels are not very high so the use case of these are limited. The third version is to only import the shoes as a clothing item and attach the heels separately as a cua, this way you would have collision to the heels but you will most likely also have to add a custom heel morph to the model so the benefit is questionable. Maybe I will also do video guides on more complex imports in the future
Perfect guide. Thanks a lot for you spend your time for this. Appreciate that. After your video I tried to import clothes from Sketchfab. For examples about t-shirt, arm, sleeves are not same position with the G2F T pose. I cannot succeed.
If the arms of the tshirt are only slightly off, you can try to bring them in position with the sculpting tools, proportional editing or the lattice modifier. If the sleeves are completely off (for example genesis 2 = arms 90 degrees and the arms of the clothing item = 45 degrees), you will most likely have to make a rig for the tshirt in blender to bring it into the t-shape of the genesis 2 model. The other possibility is: Instead of bringing the sleeves in the T-shape pose, you could also bring the genesis 2 model in the right pose to fit the tshirt with a custom morph, but all of this is a little bit more on the advanced side compared to this beginners guide with only "little adjustments". Maybe i will do more video guides in the future where i can cover these topics
