For a first time your work is awesome. I tried to port this exact model from Blender but failed horribly so you are doing god's work. Would be awesome if you would port some more Yordles into VaM in the future.

I'd totally be down to port more if I can find good source models that people are cool with being ported. A good Poppy model would be sick
