There was something in her gaze, playful, but knowing, that made it impossible to look away.​

She traced her fingers lightly along your arm, as if testing whether you were real or just part of the night.​

“You’re different,” she murmured, a teasing smile forming as she leaned in.​

And in that second, everything else faded except the feeling that you had just become her favorite secret.​
