Hi Guest!
We have posted a new VaM2 dev log on Patreon, starting a monthly cadence of written progress updates between Beta releases. Highlights include the new Gizmos System, Selection Carousel, and Modes System with Context-Specific Editing. Beta1.2 is 15 of 21 items complete.
I like your work, but to be honest, the goal should be achieve realistic lighting and skin effects, not look like a silicone doll. Anyone who can achieve that would be a master in the VAM .
In case folks aren't already aware, Skynet is one of modern VaM's best content creators across the board of resource types. This SSS plugin is yet another example of how they improve upon/completely surpass existing solutions, all while being responsive and approachable as a developer...unlike some others who have developed similar paid options.
Thank you yet again Skynet for continuously making VaM a better experience.
Here to agree with the other comment about skinmicrodetail. I was about to give up on using smd because of the sheer improvement this makes, and the truth is with all due respect to Hunting Succubus's SSS - i find yours easier to use and love the results I get with your iteration.
Would love it if you somehow made skin micro work with your SSS plugin.
Thanks for the feedback! From analysing skinmicrodetail it actually uses a normal map detail shaders that's natively embedded in VaM so it's not far fetched that in future updates the two will be cross compatible, I'll attempt to do so for sure
First version and already indispensible. Highly recommended.
I've yet to familiarize myself with all the functions but the basics seem to work great and the menu is easy enough to understand.
The only issue is current incompatibility with "SkinMicroDetail" allthough I think it's for the developer of that app to not override these shaders.
