Paid Looks Professor Octo

A brilliant scientist, and sometimes lover of a certain very Super Gal, created these powerful cybernetic arms in an attempt to rise to the challenge of her immense strength. They've proven their worth in so many ways time and again, grabbing, holding, and probing just as he had imagined.



Instructions

Load any of the following:

Scene: Professor Octo
Appearance: Professor Octo
Subscene: Professor Octo (after loading subscene, unparent all from subscene, then save and reload your scene - this should ensure the arms and claws and everything are properly parented and referenced to work with the timeline and such)

The claws are driven by an "AAM IKSolver" plugin on each "Target" (empty) object. Within that UI, you can adjust the grasp, open amount, toggle collision, etc. These values are also exposed so they can be driven by Timeline, buttons, etc.

Moving the "Target" objects around is the main way to position the claws, and the arms will use IK to follow along after the target/claw.

Moving the "Pole" objects is how you can tweak the arm arcs. The IK will solve for an arc within the plane defined by the base, target, and pole. The poles must be sufficiently far from the other objects to ensure a smooth arc.
