Procedural Saliva
A complete, fully procedural contact-strand simulation that responds to what happens in your scene.

Fully procedural by design
To my knowledge, Procedural Saliva is VaM's first system of its kind: strands born from real surface contact, attached at both ends, with simulated stretching, thinning and merging. I know of no direct equivalent to this complete interaction model.
Contact creates the connection, movement pulls it apart, gravity shapes its curve and tension narrows its middle. Strand geometry and motion are generated at runtime, and both attachments follow the moving surfaces.

Effects and controls
  • Two independent emitters: Mouth and Vagina have separate generation, motion and material controls.
  • Automatic contact response: strands form through contact with another Atom; no Timeline choreography or manual triggers are required.
  • Stretching and breaking: thicker ends, a thinning middle and adjustable break behavior shape each connection.
  • Strand merging: nearby compatible strands can combine their volume into a thicker connection that stretches further.
  • Moving attachments: strands follow their surfaces, and mouth strands can smoothly shift their starting point onto the face as the connection crosses the skin.
  • Appearance and motion: tune amount, thickness, length, gravity, damping, opacity, highlights and color.

Performance and optimization
I pushed optimization as far as I could, fighting for fractions of a millisecond throughout development.
  • Both emitters share the same skin snapshot, with geometry requested only when needed.
  • Supported GPUs use asynchronous skin readback to avoid blocking the main thread.
  • Waiting emitters skip strand simulation and rendering, while active strands continue updating every frame.
  • Scheduled contact checks and reused buffers reduce unnecessary work.

Part of one unified system
This plugin is part of my unified procedural system for VaM. The four components share the same focus: effects generated at runtime, responsive behavior and carefully optimized performance.
  • Procedural Mascara: evolving mascara, tears and contact smearing.
  • Procedural Saliva: attached liquid strands that form, stretch, merge and break.
  • Procedural Wrinkles: skin folds driven by local compression.
  • Procedural Slaps: contact-based redness, irritation and accumulated pain.
Each component can be used individually or combined with the others as part of the same system.

Compatibility in my testing
Within the scope of my testing, I have not encountered conflicts between these plugins or with the other plugins used in my scenes. This reflects the combinations and versions I have tested.
