MMD VMD Player

Paid Plugins MMD VMD Player

MMD Player 1.2.1 corrections:

Fixes the issue that dancers bump into each other at inital pose in multiple dancer mode.

Exposes the bake option as an event so it can be triggered by UI atoms in scene
MMD Player 1.2.0 features:

Options to Bake VMD Motion

You can bake VMD motion before playing it to ensure smooth motion during the play. You can choose from 1x sample rate up to 10x sample rate. The higher sample rate you choose, the more smooth motion play will be and the more time baking process will take. If you find a motion play is too smooth e.g. the body of dancer looks melting like butter, please try different physics rate settings on VaM User Preference tab.

Multiple Dancers(with Limitations)

All characters in the scene will dance the same VMD motion(Army Dance). Preview here. You just need to add multiple Person Atoms to the scene and add MMD Player to one of the Atoms, load a motion file and play. You dont have to add the plugin to all atoms. Multiple dancers dancing different VMD motions(Team Dance) is not yet supported, it will come soon in next releases.

Better Initial Pose

The initial pose after loading a vmd file is now optimized to avoid distortions or explosions.

Auto-loading Music

As soon as a vmd file is loaded, the wav/mp3 file in the same folder is automatically detected and loaded as music.

Auto-play Option

An option to auto start playing as soon as a vmd file is loaded.

Loop Option

An option to loop play the dance.

Problems with Windows Update fixed
Since there seem to be misunderstandings of the new discounted price options from some comments, I updated the icon again to put it as clear as possible.
I would like to clarify once again that this discount is my sincere response to the feedback that the 20€ price option only before was too expensive for some players. With the new discounted options, you need to wait up to maximum 4 weeks when paying lowest price 5 € , or two weeks when paying 10 € just because every license has to be manually generated. It is a compromise of good price for you, realistic effort for me and fairness for patrons who already bought the same license at 20 € before. Looking forward to your understanding here.
You receive the license in the promised time after you ordered it no matter you are an active patron or not at that moment.
I appreciate the constructive feedbacks no matter from my partrons or non-patrons and try my best to respond to them. However, please understand I have to ignore reviews which are just emotional complains from people who never tried the software.

Kind regards,
ZHFX

MMD Player 1.1.4 features:

Synchronized music and motion without noise

The version 1.1.2 introduced motion-music sync which leaded to noisy music. However in version 1.1.3 an option to go back to async music is provided, a number of users are still bothered. So I quickly developed a change of the play mode from real time motion to real time audio to solve the dilemma that music motion sync versus noiseless music.
MMD Player 1.1.3 features:

Async Music Option

The last version 1.1.2 forces music to be in sync with motion, which leads to noises in music for some users depending on CPU performance. A toggle option is provided in this version for these users to switch off the sync music to get rid of the unpleasant noises.
If you are new to MMD Player and don't have a MMD licensen yet, please see here.

If you already have a MMD Player licese, please just download here.

MMD Player 1.1.2 features:

Action Triggers, integration with VaM Animatation Pattern

In addition to the normal mode where you just add the plugin to a person and play, MMD Player now supports expert mode now: you can manipulate the timeline of MMD dance, e.g set the play speed, attach event triggers to the timeline so that you can create dance scenes where clothes are put off, lights are switched on, facial expressions such as blinking eyes are triggered precisely at desired point of time. The principal of the expert mode is very simple and clean: just add the plugin to an Animation Step instead of a person, then the plugin automatically follows the timeline of the Animation Pattern. Whatever changes you do to that Animation Pattern(triggers, play speed and so on) will automatically apply to the MMD dance.

Here you find a screenshot video of a simple example of triggering putting off clothes and blinking eyes during dancing.

Sync of music and motion

The music and motion is now much better in sync.

Repositioning the person

Now you can reposition the person, even during the dancing.

Improved finger motions

Now finger motions are more smooth and no finger distortions any more.

Better compatibility with VaM 1.20

Recommended VaM release is 1.20.0.10. But it is also compatible with 1.19.2.2 and other 1.20 VaM releases.

Dear MMD Player users,
Please be informed, a small issue has been detected in VaM 1.20: When you try to reposition the person while playing a MMD dance. The VaM 1.20 physics system gets corrupted and that leads to strange problems later until you restart VaM.
In order to avoid the strange problems, please try not to reposition the person while dancing for the moment.
This bug has been fixed in the development and the solution will be part of the upcoming major feature pack MMD Player version 1.1.
Please find here more details on the compatibilty: https://www.patreon.com/posts/40478349
I have just finished testing the latest MMD Player version 1.0.5 on the VaM 1.20.0.8.

Everything works fine with 1.20.0.8, please just remember to re-install MMD Player once after the VaM upgrade as usual.

Details are described here https://www.patreon.com/posts/mmd-player-is-1-40478349

The MMD Player is running well with all the new VaM versions(1.20.x.x and 1.19.2.2), but you need to re/install the MMD Player everytime after upgrading the VaM as described in the readme.txt file.
I have just finished testing the latest MMD Player version 1.0.5 on the VaM 1.20.0.7 again.

There seems to be a serious VaM bug in 1.20.0.7: When reseting the pose of the person, all plugins are also reset. But it is easy to work around this for MMD Player plugin: Just add the MMD Player plugin to any atom other than the dancing person. The MMD Player works well when being added to stationary atoms e.g. Empty Atom.
