Excellent guide, I come back every now and then when I need to redo certain steps/settings.

I am curious, when someone uses Method A, Virtual Desktop, is it possible to somehow edit the VaM keybindings for the controllers?
They are by default extremely horrible for my headset compared to the keybindings steamVR provides by default.

Awesome. Simple and great performance boost. However, you should have Virtual Desktop streamer running before executing the script

Thanks, actually I don't know of anyone who doesn't have the VD streamer running in the background at launch, but it's a good point

I would love a tutorial about "How NOT autostart SteasmVR everytime I open the game" even when I dont want to use the VR set

It should not autostart steamvr at all, ask in Discussions tab we can see what the issue is

I thought that the virtual desktop was installed and the movement improved considerably, but by starting from the batch file, VR became even more comfortable.
I would like to rate it ☆10 instead of ☆5.

You can also just rename the steamvr folder to anything else in the steam install's common-folder.
Then you can start vam by clicking vam button in oculus, and it won't use steamvr, because it thinks it is uninstalled.

Thanks for the review. Most of us still need steamvr to function properly for other games and apps, so I don't advice renaming your steamvr folder, unless you purely only want to do this with VAM
