Where to start! First off-- welcome to ChatterBoxes! A new, semi-smart, locally-run (off of Moanitor) dialogue and conversation tree creator for one, two, or more speakers. It has a load options that piggyback and build of of HotMic+Moanitor, but also can connect to Weaver as well to check and set variables with your state machines! New Features - essentially all ChatterBoxes:
Create sprawling Dialogue trees with multiple inputs and outputs (depending on user feedback/answers):
See the example video below for an upcoming scene:
- I initiate the scene via voice, doing nothing else
- I answer and talk to her casually
- I interrupt her and she pauses before continuing. I'm so rude!
(My mic was edited back in as it is not audible inside VaM by default)
Select a line of dialogue per each Node as a response using imported sounds and fuzzy search:
Define that dialogue per node using zones and markers for natural dialogue and interruption interactions:
- Preview and play each piece of Audio with easy controls for hearing each Zone and Marker placement
- Trim the in/out points to remove dead air
- Define Markers to resume conversation at; if interrupted, jump back to the nearest marker so important parts are never missed.
- Define "Jump Zones"; if a user interrupts the speaker in a Jump Zone, don't bother saying what's inside that zone when they resume, instead start at the end of that zone.
Set the rules for how interuptions are handled per each node:
- Define what constitutes an interruption; a certain phrase? a certain intensity? both?
- Define how long the speaker pauses before continuing
- Define the noises they make when interrupted or resuming with vocal ticks and stims
- Define if a node can be interrupted at all-- or perhaps you have no power here!
Create Groups of sounds with varying settings:
- Set the Audio Output source per group, or use the deafult
- Define cooldowns for each group
- Manipulate those cooldowns with each sound; want a small moan to not count against the cooldown? Want a large groan to increase it? Go ahead!
- Use them as Round Robin or completely Random triggerings
- Allow a group to endlessly loop once triggered
- Assign these groups inside ChatterBoxes or trigger them externally
Minor UI updates and QoL Changes to Moanitor:
- Color!
- Faster UI
- Dropdown menus for choosing certain perameters/groups
- Linkages (WIP); certain phrases or words that can stack actions in Weaver (ie: get down [and then] grab my toes [before] singing a song)
Little Fixes
Minor UI tweaks to Moanitor, dropdown menu additions, bracketed names denoting "no keywords" were added to a phrase
