I am posting this guide because sometimes people run into this issue, and it can be frustrating as to understanding what is going on. Also, this issue can occur by mistakenly pushing a button, or sometimes it seems to occur after version updates. The issue is that when you add a new CUA to your scene, unexpected objects will automatically load that you may not have wanted to load. This has happened because a user default setting has been saved for your CUA presets.
To remedy this issue, when you have a CUA atom selected, as in the screenshot below, select the preset tab on the left of the menu (see red circle), then you will see "change user defaults" in the top center, click on that and there are two options. If you click "clear user defaults" that should stop future instances of a preset CUA from loading when you add a CUA. To test it out, simple start up a new scene and start adding CUA again.
