The 9mm Makarov Pistol was the standard Soviet side arm during the Cold War. It was also used throughout the Eastern Bloc allies, specifically the Warzaw Treaty countries. The Bulgarians produced an own version of the legendary pistol and so did the East Germans, a version called the Pistole M. The model here depicts the Soviet version, with a little star on the handle.
The model is very good and great quality. The texture even reflects an historically accurate scratch mark that occured by the safety switch during regular use. My only complaint is that the model is open right below the slide, which makes the background shine through. However, it is hardly noticeable.
