Hi guys, my second and hopefully final question today!!

Since downloading VAM I have been playing it exclusively on my gaming laptop which has good spec/graphics/RAM etc. But I am considering purchasing a Meta Quest 3 to go VR.

My only question is how do you guys find VAM on VR in terms of the graphics? Is there any noticeable differences in skin texture / resolution, any lagging etc? Compared to running it on the desktop/PC? Im not particularly into VR so buying the console would solely be for this game certainly in the short term so I would rather know in advance if its worth it as I dont like drop off in graphics/resolution when it comes to gaming.

Any experience/guidance would be appreciated!

VAM is not scaling the game for VR, you are (eventually).
So this means what you see on Desktop, is what you will see in VR if you don't change the settings.

But you can't really expect to compare at a 1:1 what you experience on a screen and in VR.
That's like if you had a 360 cinema at your house with like a 200m² screen and hoping you'll get the same experience on a flat 70" screen or a phone. The techs are so wide appart and so different in their goals that you don't use them for the same reasons.

So the first aspect of your VR experience is controlled by the headset. Low end > probably lower quality experience, High end > probably closer to what desktop offers experience.

For now, up until there's a massive leap in screens and lenses, you will always have a slight difference between screen and VR. It's better than before, but there's still room for improvement. That said, when used to VR, this is something that kind of goes away

Then the next part is the PC itself, good experience in VR = proper PC to run it. Laptop will never compete with desktops, so you might need to reduce some settings if you can't have a proper 60/72fps. And even then, VAM is EXTREMELY heavy on any PC.

If you have never experienced VR and you think/imagine you'd dig it. Trust me, you're in for a treat. VR is game changing even if it's massively "gimmicky" overall. You will never reach the level of immersion or sense of scale no matter how you try on a flat screen. VR by itself, even with some sacrifices on fidelity, is an insanely satisfying experience.
