First, the most important message: Do not use look presets, use appearance presets. Always!!!!!! For the question you ask, I think there's a plugin that does that but I don't recall the name, you'll need to browse through the plugins list.- atani

Solved Scene Animation Recording
The data is recorded on your scene JSON file when you save your scene. This is now a tool mostly ignored compared to the plugin Timeline that gives you a lot more control over recordings.- atani
