testing out an old idea with better textures provided by @TheIddleVam and DecalMaker to control the strength on the fly.
Wait wait wait, how do you link the appearance of the normals to the movement of the character? A particular plugin or something?

Added a layer of normals that's just the ribs with DecalMaker. For this one it's a Timeline controlled breathing animation, so the strength of the layer moves with the strength of the breathing morph.
If you saw the other one with the abs, that's using the AngleMeasurement plugin to control the strength of normals. Though I'm still trying to find the right settings to get that one consistent in all poses.
