EZhustler submitted a new resource:

AutoCamDirector - Hands-free camera work for Virt-A-Mate: orbits, dwell, focus and subject changes, all automatic.

AutoCamDirector — Automatic Camera Director

Set it up once and the camera keeps working. AutoCamDirector orbits your subject,
dwells on each position, moves between them smoothly, and switches focus or subject
on its own — a one-person film crew for your VaM scenes.

Version 1.13.0 (first public release)
Package EZhustler.AutoCamDirector.1.var
Load on CustomUnityAsset (CUA) or Empty atom
Built with VaM 1.22.0.13

Fantastic plugin and idea. I wonder - could you also add the ability to add quick cuts and cross fades? It would make the camera work more dynamic.

Thanks — and yes, quick cuts are coming: a per-subject "Cut chance (%)", plus a "Cut now" action you can fire from a trigger or key binding (opt-in, so existing scenes stay untouched). A true cross-dissolve can't be done in VaM, since only one camera view exists at a time and a plugin can't composite two angles into it — but because our actions are triggerable, putting the cut and MacGruber's Screen Fade on the same trigger/key gives you the cut-with-a-flash or dip-to-black look you're after.

EZhustler updated AutoCamDirector with a new update entry:

AutoCamDirector — update (package 2 / plugin 1.15.0, since 1.13.0)

  • Presets — every tab now has Load / Save / Default, using VaM's own file browser (with a real Save button). A global preset holds the whole plugin (global settings + all three subjects); subject presets are portable to any subject. Plain JSON in Saves\PluginData\EZhustler\AutoCamDirector.
  • Adjustable front zone — the front-facing chance no longer parks the camera on one spot: those positions land at random inside a Front arc (deg) you can set (0–180°)...

Sounds good. Thank you for the reply.

A couple of suggestions:
- Minimum Duration: The minimum time before a cut will take place
- Maximum Duration: The maximum time before a cut will take place
- Focus Target: Control to focus / center camera on

EZhustler updated AutoCamDirector with a new update entry:

Director Mode quick cuts, facing fix, complete presets

v1.16.0 (package version 3)

NEW Director Mode companion panel - experimental: quick hard cuts inside a min/max window, adjustable cut chance
(0 = cut by hand only), a minimum hold after each cut, and optional per-cut joint / subject / close-up changes
(close-up distance is measured from the body surface). Hard cuts are exact - the camera stops exactly where it
lands - and a landing point can no longer end up inside the filmed character (body triggers count as body, checked
every...

This plugin is extremely powerful,I would like to ask how to solve the problem that when the target object is on the bed (with the coordinates elevated), the camera Angle often travels below the horizontal line of the bed sheet. There might already be relevant options in the configuration, but I find it too difficult to set🥺🥺

Two settings fix this. On the Global tab set Camera height (m) to about 1.4 - 1.7 and
Height random (m) to 0 - 0.1 - the random is what dips the camera under the sheet. On the
Subject tab lower Max look-up (deg) to 10 - 20: the camera always aims at the focus, so
limiting the angle also limits the position, and it can no longer sit below the subject's
horizontal line. Optionally set Max look-down (deg) to 30 - 45, and keep Avoid obstacles on.

If your scene itself is raised, note that Camera height is measured from world y = 0, so add
your floor height to it - a bed platform at y = 3.0 with 1.5 m wanted above the mattress means
about 4.0 - 4.5.

When it looks right, click Save in the Preset row of the Subject tab, name it e.g. Bed, and just
Load it next time. Print diagnostics copies the camera height and eye pose to your clipboard if
you want to send me the numbers.

Thank you very much. I'll give it a try🥺🥺
