A couple more points/feedback:
- So while I await your next release, I went ahead and removed this from Session Plugins because of the laggy performance issue I reported earlier. Upon reloading, I found that the panel with the nested tree was still present. After a little investigation, I found that residual files were still in cache. Once these were removed, the plugin was gone and I did not experience any performance impacts. So the point is that you might want to note how to completely uninstall the plugin in the documentation.
- That tree panel (not sure what to call it) occludes the Person UI tabs panel if it happens to fall on the right side. (VAM shifts the position of this tabs panel on the left and on the right). I don't have a suggestion on how to address this.
I had already improved clean up to remove all traces of the plugin when deleted/disabled. And thanks to your feedback, when the UI is set to the right side, the category panel now moves to the left. Not something that would have occurred to me, so thanks for that! Both fixes are in the version just released.

Thanks for being so responsive.

I just ran into something unexpected. As I mentioned before, I uninstalled the previous version while I waited for V5 (including removing V4's cached files). When V5 dropped, I downloaded and moved it to AddonPackages for later use. (I planned to spend some time with it later to really give a test drive). I opened VAM as usual and did not install V5. I loaded a scene that normally runs smoothly but the scene was very laggy and choppy. And even more curiously, when I opened the morphs tab, the plugin's tree panel showed up. It was as if the mere fact of the VAR being in AddonPackages caused it to self install as a Session Plugin. (I confirmed that it was not installed as a Session Plugin)

I quit out of VAM, removed V5 from AddonPackages and deleted the cached files. Upon restarting VAM, everything went back to normal.

Something weird is happening between my installation (V 1.22.03. ) and DJ.OrganizeYourMorphs. It'd be great if you could look into the performance hit and the auto-install mystery.

(My bad. I did not thoroughly clean my default session plugins)

I'm betting it was the restart that fixed your issue. Did you maybe have v4 in your default plugins, then unloaded it as soon as you noticed? hat may have left remnants in Vam that caused problems later on. If the problem only existed in v4, the hopefully the many bug fixes and better clean up routine have already dealt with the issue. But let me know if the problem continues with v5. And thanks for taking the time to let me know. I wish more people would report bugs!

NVM about my reported "residual OrganizeYourMorph functionality after uninstall" problem. I am such a dumba$$. In my session plugin default, the plug was located in the middle and not the bottom of the list. So when I went to look for it, I thought it was gone. Anyway, that was the source of the "ghost" functionality.

I will spend more time to kick the tires some more and report back.
