Information about the base user interface
Base UI The “Base UI” is the primary panel used to interface with Virt-a-mate. By Default the Base UI opens in Play Mode when first starting the game. “Play Mode” Hides the adding and editing atom functions. “Edit Mode” displays all of VaM’s editing features in both the Base UI and the Main UI. “Edit Mode” is where a content creator will spend most of their time while building scenes. “Play Mode” is used for experiencing completed scenes. Package Manager The "Package Manager" is accessed from the Base UI by the “Open Package Manager” UI button. Clicking this icon will open the Package Manager. “Rescan Packages” will rescan your “AddonPackages” folder for any new vars added. This includes new files you have locally updated or added while vam has been running. “Select Current Scene Package (if scene is from a package)” Will select the relevant var file your current open scene is from. “Creator Name” will display the creator’s name of the currently selected Var file. “Enabled” Every var file downloaded from the hub or added by you into your “AddonPackages” folder is enabled by default. Package Downloader In V1.20.77.13 the Package Downloader was added - a new system that allows copy/paste of a resource URL from an external browser or by entering a specific var package name into an input box to find and download that resource or package and all its dependencies in an easy manner. Can be used as an alternative to in-game Hub browser for getting Hub content. ”Find Package” Use this field to input the link of the var you wish to download. As in this example. ”Close” This will close the “Package Downloader” window. “Clear” This field will clear the package window.
