Hey again Raven, nice idea, downloading atm :D

The link for your patreon does not work. You could try simply to add link within the thread.

this will give peeps a general idea on how the workflow is like to make lace textures.

the video will include something I paid for: artstation (45 Lace Fabric (Textures + SBSAR) CREATOR: Zahra.3D

you'll be able to find free lace patterns online to download from artstation
HI. I love your clothing and have been using it since I started using VAM. I am curious, I know I saw guids from you up before, But i cant seem to find any. and I dont see links to any of your other pages like youtube or patreon. I know you have a lot of experience getting things into VAM specifically which is where I'm struggling. not with the process, but with the results, and them being bad, when all seems good elsewhere. and why some items I do, it all works no problem, then another item with same steps and it comes out like trash. I have gotten a few items in that are really good, and everything is nice and it sims great and looks great. idk, its very weird, but i think with a couple of your guides I could get up to speed, I remember one i watch a while ago on you tube was very good, but at the time i was nowhere near ready to follow it effectively. but at this point ive been working in MD a while and have some good understanding of the cloth making process. . anyhow, if you could point me to them, I would appreciate it, if they are still available that is.

Hi! Sorry for the late response, I didn't realize your message was here.
You can find my T-Shirt guide here: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/t-shirt-guide.953/
And I have some random video processes on my Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@yameteouji8925
My process had slightly changed since those guides, but its mostly the same. Some smaller details.. These days I try to make clothing so the base mesh can be reused for other assets. I also project UV's a lot now as well. But those are kind of advanced processes - I'm happy to share that process when you cross that bridge.

In general, VaM asset creation is a wild beast that cannot be tamed! How the clothing imports depends highly on the mesh topology. Some topology imports well, others not so well. VaM really likes even quads and lots of polys! But lots of polys is bad for performance so finding a balance is crucial.

Some day when I've got some time I would love to make a new guide that shows the stuff I have learned about importing meshes. I'll try to see if I can get that on my schedule!

Good luck!

Looking at that guide theres for sure some things I would like to update. For example, I mention the uv seams not mattering but they do matter a lot! I would place uv seams where normal clothing seams would be. It makes the fabric texture much easier to author and looks more more natural that way.

Ty so much for replying at all yamete. I appreciate it greatly. and thank you for the links, I remember really enjoying your youtube videos :D the character voice used and how they are presented is very cute..

I was kind of on a mission when i left the above comment, I have been dead set on getting myself up to par as a clothing creator in Vam, not really for anything other then, my content is very specific and unique, and most of what I need, In all respects from environments to cloths, characters, assets, sounds, you name it, Its not available on the hub or anywhere else, I got to create it myself. So I have been learning All aspects of 3d development from modeling to Logic flows In game, and everything in between including and especially the clothing. So, I have had Marvelous designer for a couple of months now and have been learning how to use it slowly along with everything else, and I did this tutorial for a dress, and it was really nice, but when i tried to get it into Vam, Disaster. like cut up all over the place, and mangled, totally jacked. And, well, Idk, I just was like determined to get that dress in, because of how badly it transferred. I figured, If I could get this in, It will really teach me how to do it, and get it good every time.

So, Over a few days, I ended up Figuring out, it was the topology. :( I had tried to steer away from doing topology if possible, because of how tedious and time consuming it appeared. But, after a couple of tests it became obvious that, the topology has to be perfect for Vam. Vam does not tolerate bad topology at all. But, on the flip, if you take the time to get a very clean precise topo, Vam simulates it like a dream, unbelievably well, beyond what I've seen in any other game type setting.

So I had to figure out the best way to Do this now. And I ended up using the Retopo tools in MD to get a good accurate topology, then manual tedious playing vertex matchmaker in blender till its all together. The 1st dress was tough, but after a couple of pieces now, I have refined my technique to a point where I can get the process done in a fairly small amount of time. but the results I've been getting are so good, and that combined with really detailed SIM texture map that I do in Substance, along with High poly baked texturing with all maps, the way it looks in Vam is unreal. Actually, and surprisingly the last piece I did, which is a unique Item that I have needed for a while, this piece simulates better then any piece I've used in vam. It even collides with furniture and the floor =/ I didn't think that was possible.

In any case, the processes you mentioned above I would love to learn about, and would be really excited to see updated tutorial with what you've learned over the years doing clothing in vam, It really is a unique and rare knowledge that is not really available for anyone, its a very in depth process to get right Id say and any help is always appreciated :D ...
Hi guys!?

If your costume is badly out of order when you put it on your favorite LOOK, try checking the "Wrap To Smoothed Vertices" checkbox in the Costume Customization Menu Adjustments. It may improve the situation.

I found more stuff on other websites that you don’t have on hub and booth. Have you deleted something? I mean those things from your past, I want to collect a complete collection for my own use. Can you provide everything you have posted in the past? I'd be happy to pay for it.
Spent a couple of hours cleaning your scenes of useless assets and atoms that serve 0 purpose, fps boost from 10 to 60  please more focus on action and animations, less assets and dependencies
