Using meme images

The rule says "Please do not share real images or photos unless they are on topic." and I am wonder what about memes? Memes often use real photos and does they breaking the rules if I will use them in topics or in plugin description?
For example, I made a plugin and want to put funny image in plugin's icon or description.

I think it's not set in stone, just use your judgement if it makes sense to the topic, even if just for humor purposes.

I think memes are folk art that already belongs to communities that can be used in a non-offensive way, well I think context of your post is important here
