Under the Sea - An experiment in underwater simulation

This resource includes a starter set of experimental effects designed to simulate the look of being under the surface of the sea.

These effects use a shader that requires a directional light with cast shadows turned on in order to work properly. The method of implementation of these effects results in effects both at the top and the bottom of the CUA. In order to hide the bottom effect, a large ground asset is needed; you know, like the ones yours truly makes.

I should have done more experimenting with the CUAs as suggested, but as tends to be the case with this model I started to miss the forest for the tree...err, ocean for the fish?

...I had some finny friends to go with but they were creepy CUA stand-ins and not very finny fun. 😔

That looks nice. There are also assets in this post to help build scenes.

Five additional under the sea effects

This update makes the following changes:
-- Adds five new under the sea effects: stormy small 3, stormy small 4, murky small 1, murky small 2 and tranquil small 1
-- Removes a collider that I accidentally included originally in sea stormy small 2a
-- Adds coral and seafloor ground plane option for building scenes
