TK17 was one of my favorites back in the day. Based on my little experience with both programs, I do not see a need to import from TK17 considering VAM has better versions and variations of the same poses and animations found in TK17. I think one solution would be to learn how to animate characters from imported poses and build from there. There are a few plugins that simplify the process while getting similar or better results than tk17.
