No, not a dumb question at all mate. For now it is only using vam's inbuilt dildo, this was just the start for cleaning the original plugin that had a fair few problems. After enabling the dildo, when it appears make sure to unhide it in selector (where all scene items/atoms are) then just select controll and you can control the physics/color/scale.

I am working on upgrades so it can work with CUA dildoes which is a bit more difficult because no 2 cua's are built the same in space/position so i have to test them individualy and then save the settings in the plugin script one at a time. But they are coming.
