Since today, when I open VAM with Steam Link (Quest Pro), there are huge framedrops and screen freeze. This happens every 1 or 2s and the image move suddently then comes back, making Steam Link totally unusable.
  • I tried other games with Steam Link, but they work smoothly.
  • I tried Oculus link and VD and both work fine.
  • I tried on another VAM install, same result.
  • Also tried to reboot, update nVidia drivers, etc.
That seems to be a very specific case of VAM and Steam Link since the last Steam Link update, but I have seen nobody talk about it yet.

Anybody in the same situation?

Are you still having issues with it? I have VAM through steam and it works great with the Steam Deck (for browsing the Hub, and watching scenes).

But I am also using it via the remote streaming feature throught he default Steam app so it maybe different from Steam Link as that is a seperate app (however they appear to be the same things, but it just operates as a stand-alone app).

The reason I am following up is that I was thinking about the Quest 2

I'm having the exact same problem with Quest3, SteamVR has become useless.

I was able to fix the problem and I'm sharing the method for those who are experiencing the same symptoms as me. I uninstalled and reinstalled SteamVR following the instructions in the video at the URL below and it solved the problem.
