Personally my download works fine and the chara opens inside VaM. What's the problem?

I am unable to open the char its not even showing in game when I try to open the file I have the steam version of virt a mate if that helps.

Sadly, I don't really know about the Steam version and how it was made. Personally I use the one from Virt's patreon and for me it works no problem, but honestly should also work as well with yours. Not sure why
