I am experiencing a problem in scenes with two characters, only one of the characters is moving. When I press ctrl-T, I can see that the control points of the second character are actually being animated. But somehow the character is frozen in the starting pose. This seems to be the case for Timeline based animations as well as with MVRplugin anims.

Just for completeness I am running ver.1.22.0.12.

The scenes that exhibit this problem include but not limited to:
- Nobody.twins.1.var,
- KarmageddonVAM.TaniceTwinsKARVAM.1.var,
- ReignMocap.ReignMocapDoubleSensualDance.1.var,
- Nial.[Scenes]_Lez_Twinz.2.var

HOWEVER, scenes like NL.NL097Twin.1.var and Nial.[Scenes]_Naughty_kitties.3.var still work. Meaning both characters animate correctly.

I am so confused. I tried asking AI which gave some correct sounding answers. But the problem is that the AI offered solutions point vaguely to non-existing tabs or buttons (perhaps it is recalling old versions of VAM). I'm stuck. Can someone point the way to unfreezing the second character?

The major control nodes like hands, head, hips and feet have to be in the On or Comply state to be animated. The Off state, or the others will prevent the node from moving.

So upon reading your note, I excitedly opened up VAM to try your suggestion. The first scene in the list I opened was Karmageddon's.

Well, f*ck me if it didn't just work as originally intended. I mean everything worked without me doing anything. WTF ????

So I opened up a scene from Reignmocap. No love. This one still has a frozen character. Then I went through each control point and enabled them from Off to On. Nothing happened. The character remains frozen. So I thought maybe, I need to save the scene and re-open. I tried this. Upon the re-open, this frozen character twisted into an unnatural position but that was it. No additional movements.

I am befuddled.

Don't make every control node On, only the important ones, like I listed above. Everything else can be off, but it depends on the scene. Some animators move the pelvis, not the hip. It varies. If scenes are not working for you as published, you have some other problem. Try doing a core repair using the updater. Also try flushing the cache using the User Preferences UI. Also check for session plugins. Those are notorious for causing mystery problems. Disable all session plugins and try a scene as originally published.

Great suggestion. I dropped one of the "problem" VARs into a virgin installation of VAM and it worked as intended. So I now have the tedious task of finding which of my Session Plugins is causing this.

Thank you
