CabaretNoir submitted a new resource:

Roller Skates - Lots of Presets! - High quality clothing model of awesome roller skates

View attachment 548013

There are 2 ways to wear these:

1) For animation: equip the boots as normal clothing, then conventionally parent the trucks as custom Unity assets using a ParentHoldLink plugin, Macgruber's reworked version is easiest contained in his awesome Essentials collection. If needed, add collision using CheesyFX's excellent Heel Adjust plugin

To make the process faster for you, I've included a fitting-subscene in the var. Load your model in default pose...

These look great! Any chance you could make some for males too, so we could make a date scene skating? XD

Thank you!

Bad news and good news:

Originally that was the plan, both m + f, but what I thought was a fairly simple task, turned out to be something of a challenge. The base model I found looked great, but adapting it to fit took weeks, as the model was nothing like G2F foot shape, and there were other issues too. I'm still a Blender noob, but the truth is that it would've been easier to build from scratch. So sadly, female only. I kept roughly the same profile (and added a lace knot) but everything else had to be moved, resized and VaM really, really didn't want to fit the uppers and soles in any sensible way, and it took something like 50-60 attempts to port, on top of the re-modelling. Usually, footwear is modelled singly and mirrored, but I also decided I wanted a real L + R, with subtle variations and the ability to apply materials separately.

I might revisit this in the future but not for now.

However... the skate trucks are included as cua's, so they don't need the uppers! This means that they can be used with existing footwear. Iirc, there's an excellent collection of men's boots, so if you don't mind the uppers being different, just use the trucks with some boots, and parent the trucks to your character in the usual way. If you don't know how to do that, just let me know and I'll explain 👍

Thank you!
