Aipas submitted a new resource:

Monique: unfinished business - A glimpse into Satin stories

My first scene release.
Serves both as a stress test / community feedback, as well as a glimpse into future scene releases, called Satin stories.

While editing I've noticed spikes that can, occasionally, throw things out of balance, like animation jitter, misfire of triggers, etc.
That said, the scene was made with high quality soft body physics, text-to-spech function and desktop mode in mind. Different configs may also lead to unexpected results.

Features:
- Sequencial animation with...

This scene has something in it that causes some of the normal Vam UI functions to not work. I tried to load an appearance preset, but clicking the button for that did nothing. I've never had a scene that did that. I don't have any session plugins loaded. It has the same problem with morph presets and clothing presets. I have no idea what could be causing that, but it's probably a plugin.

It's a well thought out scene with detailed animations. Great first release!

I've loaded the scene from the var and everything seems fine. I've encountered this issue before, and because lately I've just been editing my scenes, I can't say if it's an issue with them specifically or something else. Probably an issue with them. It happened to me a few times when alt tabbing while some scenes were loading. Most of vam's ui would become dead. I'd alt tab again to windows, click something (if I remember correctly) and back to Vam and it would fix it.
Hope in your case it doesn't always happen.

Thanks for both comments.
Apart from systems and automations I still want to review for future scenes, the animations are what I want to improve the most, as I feel some are lacking, and overall the scene feels stiffer than I'd like.
Timeline is an amazing plugin, and the fact that it features curves is great, but if users could costumize the curves besides the options already given, it would be the bee's knees. Or maybe it can be done and I haven't figured it yet...
Acid bubbles, if you read this, please don't kill me.

My biggest question concerning this type of scene template (sequential animation) is loop duration. A longer loop will allow me to spruce up the anims, but users will have to wait longer to go back and forward.
I've tried to put some extra details with a randomized layer, but in this scene it's barely noticeable. Mostly the guy has some randomized independent anims for expressions and head movement.

I know you can randomize a set of animations so they don't play in a fixed sequence and then keep looping, but then you perhaps need a button trigger to break out of that for the cumshot. There are plenty of master animators on the hub you could learn from by picking apart their scenes.

No doubt.
The scene does work like that. There's 8 groups, each with with 5 anims to loop from and they do it in a randomized fashion with different probabilities for each anim. Usually something more unique will have a lower probability to happen in the loop. Those are all timeline options, thankfully. The randomized layer was a bit trickier to pull off, but macgruber's random choice plugin was perfect for that.
The post-cumshot is just an animation that can only be accessed via the end button, instead of the next button, so that the user knows the scene is about to end.

I'm not a fan of the UIAssist integration and how the scene messes with my session plugins in general.
Upon scene load, it enables all of my session plugins, changes their settings, and it disables my free UIAssist session plugin (plugin#1), which I have set up with a bunch of utility functions, plugin quick actions and appearance swaps.

Notice how it turns on my performance stats and changes my fps limit from the configured 72 to 300, for example.

That's not ideal, no. I'm sorry about that.

I've reworked the scene to leave the UI choice up to the user, by manually activating UI assist with the appropriate profile.
I'm about to test and upload version 2 to fix this.
Custom UI base buttons (controls, camera and nav arrows) are moved slightly to the left to avoid overlapping on users who have UI assist on by default on sessions.
There will still be overlapping on the rest of the menu, but the user can click controls or camera button to close the custom UI. I have no better place to put this custom UI in. Do you feel this compromise constitutes an acceptable solution?

Indeed I don't need to apologize.
You also didn't need to make and share a nice plugin that was perfect for my template. (y)
