I'm looking to buy a new PC soon and I'm still debating between 5070ti and 9070xt, but the amd one costs cheaper of course and is generally more recommended anywhere I ask. But some people say that amd gpus don't perform good on streaming (so steamvr in this case). Does somebody has an experience with 9070 on quest 3 wireless here, is it working decent or has some issues? Before that I've used to play VaM on 4050 (laptop) and it worked... decent enough. If it will perform at least 20-30% better then laptop, it will already be good for me. 5070ti costs 120$ for me and it's the sus palit version (the cheapest one) so I lean more towards 9070xt, but can consider the other choice it nvidia is just like... 20-30% better in VaM than amd

The Laptop 4050 is quite a bit behind an actual 4050. A Desktop PC with a 5070 will yield far greater gains than 20-30%.

Here is a performance comparison between the 2 (UserBenchmark Link). Dont assume this to be precise percentages and dont expect these 145% to translate into VaM - take it as a veeeeery rough estimate.

I have played with a 3080 and a 4080 and both work insanely well, the 4080 yields consistent 120fps in a 2 person Scene on Q3 (VD, Ultra preset, SSW enabled) and even allows for recording videos while playing.

Both a 5070 and a 9070xt will make you happy and deliver the ~30% performance gain youre looking for.
