So I have a model in blender that I managed to export to DAZ and then used Faceform Wrap to make a genesis 2 morph and import into VAM but I am unsure how to import hair (with rigging) and texture it. I tried using the hair creator and importing it as a .duf and that kind of worked but it looked exactly as it does in DAZ rather than how it does in the rendered image from Blender. I also have no idea how to go about applying the hair texture maps. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Hi) I have a somewhat similar problem. There is a G8 hair asset that I need in VAM, but when importing it .daf in the Hair Creator I am informed that the hair has too many vertices, about 300k, respectively it would take a very long time to load and weigh under 2 GB, and I did not wait. How can I move the hair to VAM, without such a hellishly long load time and bloated weight?

So I never solved my problem and ended up just using a mixture of user uploaded hairstyles but for your issue you could import it into Blender and apply the decimate feature to reduce the number of vertices. I think there is a similar feature in DAZ itself but if I remember correctly you need to pay for it.

The import option in the hair creator is unintuitively not for importing hair. Its designed to allow you to import a custom scalp. the Hair creator will then uise the topology of the scalp to generate vams hair nodes which you can then use as the base for a custom style.

As for import of hair from outside to vams hair system, its simply impossible. The closest you could get would be a CUA with a rig for movement.
