Solved How to change appearance preset?

I've been able to change appearances of some models in scenes by selecting a part of the model I want to change, clicking "Select Root", then "Select Existing", and it brings up a file selection window. However, not all character models I have downloaded show up in this list, only some of them. For example, BooMoon's Lara model will show up, but not OniEkohvius's Draenei. Is this a limitation with particular models like that, or am I severely lacking in knowledge of how to do this properly?

I would love to replace models in some scenes I've downloaded, but it's very hit or miss on which ones show up for me.

Sometimes creators don't package appearance presets into their VARs, they package only the scene containing the character. In these instances, you have to open his scene and save the appearance preset yourself for you to be able to load it into other person atoms.

Omg fantastic. Thank you so much. I even got the CUA manager to properly save and load the horns/hair/tail properly into my scene!
