Skynet submitted a new resource:

Holographic Clothing Shader - Add Holographic reflection effect on clothing items

- Custom Holographic Shader made for @regguise Custom Shader Loader plugin, to be applied on any clothing item.
- Supports transparency and vam's custom scene lighting parameters like skybox reflection & camera exposure.

-- How to use?
- Check out Regguise's Custom Shader Loader hub page above for detailed steps, they should work exactly the same for...

This is brilliant! Any chance you'd do this for hair? I know stopper has a hair plugin but it's bare bones and lackluster compared to stuff you create

thanks for the feedback but this is only a material shader not a plugin itself, i think regguise has to add support for hair shaders aswell for it to work on hair strands

Hey I was playing around with this tonight and it's amazing! Just one request if it's possible...
Could you make it so the Alpha Adjust affects just the Metallic channel? Right now the alpha adjust slider controls the transparency of the whole piece of clothing according to whatever alpha map you load. And the spectrum you choose is applied to the entire piece of clothing no matter what. It would be super if we could have an alpha that controls that Metallic channel so you could have the hologram effect only where you want it, like if I wanted a pattern of sparkly holographic hearts or holographic racing stripes. Unless I missed something and we can already do that somehow!
Thanks!

good idea but doing it this way will ruin some clothing that have their design based on alpha cutout texture, like for example fishnets or stockings... etc

what you need is specular or gloss maps which currently dont work due to the shader having different render workflow than the standard one in Vam, i have to modify it so that those textures affect it the same they do for other clothing

Ahh ok. I hope it's possible and mot too much work! Also, gonna drop a gradient that I made for my own stuff here, for anyone who wants to use it. Maybe a bit closer to a actual spectrum with fading to black on the edges.
