You should avoid using any characters in the var's name that are not part of the plain english alphabet. They display fine on the hub website but from inside VaM they show up as not being downloaded even when they are. VaM doesn't like any custom characters so chinese/japanse, even simple accents like "ç" or "í" cause this issue.
