VaM 1.x Can someone tell me how the MMD animation is made?

Can someone tell me how the MMD animation is made? Is it very time-consuming to create mmd animation?

I only understand the basics but it can definitely be time consuming from what I can tell. I'd say download the software (MikuMikuDance) and try for yourself. To start out you could try figuring out how to load a model (.pmx) and then load an animation/motion data (.vmd).

There's also the alternative of generating quick and dirty animations with AI. I don't know of any that will let you run locally or do more than 20-30 seconds for free though. QuickMagic is the best one as far as I know.

Basically the same as creating animation using the timeline plugin: positioning and adding many timestamps for every bone.
