Britta had been with Dan for 46 years, and for the majority of those years, she was unhappy. Dan was a good provider, but he was never really there for her emotionally. He would work long hours and come home exhausted, not wanting to engage in any conversation or activities with her. This made Britta feel lonely and unimportant.

When Dan retired, Britta was hopeful that things would change between them. However, she was disappointed...
