I stumbled upon this video comparing AMD 6900 XT and nVIDIA 3090 , they both have more or less the same framerate (testing a flight simulator), but how come the AMD one looks choppy ?? Is it because the 3090 has more vram ? But still, it's fps test, a gpu either can reach stable framerate or it can't, this must be something else. The person recording it confirmed that the 6900xt looks choppy inside VR.

Anyone with 6900 XT ? Is it any good for VR ?

Other than 6900xt vs 3090, how about 3090 (24Gb vram) vs 4070 ti (12Gb vram) ? Which one would you choose for VR. (Rift CV1)

AMD has/had driver problems within VR. So if you ask me what is better for VR (had a 6800XT with regular stuttering in VR, dont know how the situation is now), buy NVIDIA to avoid problems (in VR). I'm no fanboy from NVIDIA or AMD but if I spend a lot of money I want a working product. NVIDIA never let me down, AMD did.

3090 is "outdated" and 4070ti has only 12GB of VRam. I wouldn't buy any of it. 4080/4090/7900XT/X would be what I want (16GB VRam or more). Depending on your resolution you could get in trouble with 12GB VRam faster than you might think.

I see, so that's a known problem for AMD with VR then. How about the 7900 XT does it still have the same problem ? It has 20GB vram gddr6

I dont know, its kind of a typical AMD Problem with their drivers. Do some research.
