Getting Started
You can download the most recent Beta version of VaM2 from our Patreon. You must be subscribed at a Creator level to have access.
UI Basics
Beta 1.2 introduces our revamped Desktop and new XR/VR UI! The UI has been rebuilt from the ground up to give you deep access to the detailed settings of your scenes. Designed in a way to easily let you focus on either a specific aspect of your scene or in its entirety. It is also built so that the creators and designers within our community can reskin or create UI’s of their own to share.
UI Overview
Our new UI is very similar to our previous iteration. We cleaned up the interface, added quick access buttons, and custom styles. Our design is intended to let you quickly focus on the specific aspects of your scene without being overwhelmed.
Scene Hierarchy and System UI
This area is where you will add Figures, Environments, and Objects into the game. It includes blend shapes and materials for the figure models. This also gives you access to environmental and post effects, save/load menu, and miscellaneous system settings.
Controllables UI
This area is where UI panels for a wide variety of sub-settings and UI elements will appear: material settings, blend shapes, save/load paths, bone and joint settings, etc.
Custom UI
This panel is yours to configure. Our UI is made up of panels that can be dragged out and either floated within the scene or docked into this panel for ease of access. Docked and floating panels are saved with your scene file.
Selection Carousel
The Selection Carousel is a mouseover popup that allows you to quickly select a customizable aspect of the targeted object. The Selection Carousel can be docked under the Custom UI Area by toggling the “Position at Mouse” option off in the “System/Preferences/UI/Desktop/Selection Carousel”.
Submode UI
The Submode UI presents you with a menu for adding and editing specific components of your scene:
- Easy Play Mode. Interact with the scene with a minimal UI and UX.
- Easy Addons Mode. Select Environment, Add Figures, or Add Objects to the scene.
- Easy Attachment Mode. Modify attachments for Figures and Objects.
- Easy Select Mode. See the full scene hierarchy tree that can be selected from for easy editing.

- Easy Transform Mode. Move and rotate object.
- Easy Joints Mode. Adjust joint rotation targets for posing.
- Easy Material mode. Modify the look of Objects or Figures.
- Easy Blend Shape Mode. Change the figure's shape.
