VaM2 Beta Introduction: Welcome to the official release of VaM2 Beta. This version has many of the core features of Virt-a-Mate and demonstrates many of the new technologies currently available to us in Unity. We are very excited to showcase the direction we are pushing this next version of VaM. VaM2 Getting Started Guide Welcome to VaM2! This guide will help you get familiar with the basics. Updated for Beta 1.2. Officially released August 10th 2026 8:06pm PST. Getting Started You can download the most recent Beta version of VaM2 from our Patreon. You must be subscribed at a Creator level to have access. UI Basics Beta 1.2 introduces our revamped Desktop and new XR/VR UI! The UI has been rebuilt from the ground up to give you deep access to the detailed settings of your scenes. Designed in a way to easily let you focus on either a specific aspect of your scene or in its entirety. VaM2 Adding Content Scene Addons: This Is where you will be adding Environments, Figures, and Objects into your scene. You can browse either by type or by creator. To add an Environment: Select the Environment rollout and you will be presented with several premade environments. Clicking on one will add it to your scene. Adding an Object: To add a Figure: Select and open the Figures rollout, choose either Male or Female with or without Genitals. The way our new figures are setup up. Each figure variation is an entire rig complete with it's own blend shapes and controls. VaM2 Teasing That New Hotness Floating UI! Undock any panel and float it in your viewport for easy access. Whoa did you see all those new options that appeared? Custom UI! You can add any floating panel to your own UI tab! You can add even more tabs and save them with your scene! Undo/Redo! In VaM!! With Physics!! Slider posing! VaM2 The Lighting Rig Please load “Example 2”. You may have noticed a unique lighting rig inside this scene file. Several Options are available. Open it's options under the "Environment" rollout within the scene. The rig is currently Auto Rotating and this can be turned off and rotated manually. Multiple lighting setups. Thirteen unique lighting setups are built into this one rig. You can quickly load any one of them. Light settings. You can open each setup and adjust the lights within to your liking.
