It might be a good thing to have swichable view styles for the resource pages like having a mosaic preview or a view with multiple columns and still the information. Looking at the resources landing page with only limited content at the moment is already a long scroll.

After a second thought the reaction system is more modern, fits the zeitgeist, less complicated, more reactive, more user compatible.
