I'm planning on getting a 7900x3D once they launch. I currently have the 7900x, but I've got a buddy who wants it, so, gives me the excuse :-)

With my new 4090. I couldn't get it to do the 'official' benchmark, my guess is that is because I'm running at 4k. (I don't have a 1080p monitor anymore.) In any case, here are my results in 4k with my MSI 4090 liquid cooled and my 7900x liquid cooled.

Man I'm just now seeing this. How did I miss it? 🤦

Thank you for everything you've provided for the Community. If you have a write up already existing of what you were looking for on scenes, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it for free.

So, I'm going to need to re-run my benchmark as I've finally had the time to fine tune my 3090 OC. Got another 6-7 FPS on Kombuster. Now I just need to get my Asrock x670e Steel Legend/7900x OC done.... Anyone seen anybody post good settings for that yet? :-)

Hi Hidden, are you doing any over-clocking? Even with my RAM now running at 6ghz my CPU is still behind yours and we've got the same proc. I just want to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples :)

Ok, I've got my RAM now running at 6,000mhz (not the 6400 potential that they have, but far better than the 4800mhz they were running at) and a clean install of VAM. Vast performance improvement over last time, roughly 50fps on average. If you notice, the physics wait time is on average 1/2...

So, RAM manufacturer finally released specs on their AM5 specific memory (TForce/TeamGroup) and their saying only 6,000mhz currently with AM5. That said, they did release the settings for their new AM5 memory, I copied those settings and now my RAM is running at 6,000mhz! So, progress! Not...

No, it's not a clean VAM or OS install. That said, I did run Cinebench and I got 28344 for multicore and 1973 for single core.

Also, your results destroyed mine. I doubt that just the RAM speed is going to make up that difference. The main thing I noticed though is that you were running Windowed, and I was Full Screen? Would you mind re-running your benchmark but do it in Full Screen? I want to see how far behind I...

I too am now using a 7900x (coming from an Intel i9 11900k). I have 6400mhz RAM but I can only get to post at the BIOS defaulted 4800mhz. What settings are you using/how did you get yours to run at 6,000?

Just finished the build, completely non-optimized currently. My 6400mhz RAM is running at 4800mhz just as an example. So, hopefully once I get her all tweaked and happy I'll have even better results. Ryzen 9 7900x with a 3090.

Agreed. I have 32GB 3200mhz RAM and 24GB of VRAM, so no issues there :)

I run on NVME as well

Also I should add that I don't have a CV1, it's a Quest 2. Not sure why it shows up as a CV1 in the benchmark too.
