Switched RTX 2070 for RTX 3080 Gaming Z Trio, now VAM crashes in VR with Rift S on heavy scenes :(

I haven't used airlink because it didn't exist when I first started. I originally started with ALVR which is open-sourced and free. But it ended up breaking when VaM updated their VR Steam controller binding library. It just wasn't compatible with ALVR at the time. I have not tried ALVR since...

Quest 2 is pretty great actually IMHO. I use it with Virtual Desktop, and a 5GHz WiFi. Works pretty well for me. The quality isn't perfect, but it's far superior to that of the first generations of VR! Also, having a wireless VR headset just beats all the others because it's wireless. I don't...

Bummer. I was almost certain that would fix the issue. After reading the discussion everything pointed to that being the issue. Either way, I'd recommend leaving the setting on anyway.

    Please need help with crash

Something is not right with that scene you're loading. It loads the audio plugin, then it unloads it right after. This doesn't seem normal. Whatever scene you're loading, is broken. You'll want to manually edit it and remove plugin references to VamMoan. This might at least let you load it again.

Switched RTX 2070 for RTX 3080 Gaming Z Trio, now VAM crashes in VR with Rift S on heavy scenes :(

I got both Oculus Quest 1 and Oculus Quest 2 and both work perfectly fine, and the batteries last a solid 3 to 4 hours still. I haven't had any issues with either of them, and I got some 15ft USB-C cables on Amazon which work perfectly for connecting the Quest 2 to the PC at a high bandwidth. I...

Switched RTX 2070 for RTX 3080 Gaming Z Trio, now VAM crashes in VR with Rift S on heavy scenes :(

Enable Above 4G Decoding and also Enable the Resizable Bar in the UEFI BIOS. They should be on if you have a 3000 series RTX card as well as 64GB of RAM. Motherboard Manufacturers are all slightly different, but if you have a gaming motherboard, it might be in the top right corner. Because the...

Have you enabled the Above 4G decoding in the BIOS? I've just read all the threads here and realize that this might very well be the problem. You have to enable above 4G decoding to provide proper memory remapping for the shared GPU memory.
