Plugins + Scripts BodyNet - Resources

Yeah, I know bodynet doesn't care whether a morph is merged or not - but if it is not, I can often compensate manually for those skeleton changes that bodynet doesn't have suitable morphs for. Hmmh, yeah with xxxa's weird feet morphs it's probably due to rotations. But afaics, there's other...

Plugins + Scripts BodyNet - Resources

Oooops, yeah, hadn't thought about that. True. Yeah, my usecase goes a bit against the workflow you designed bodynet for. The usual workflow is: Just load the person-atom plugin into the scene (via the Session plugin), load appearance preset, run bodynet, play. In that workflow, you wouldn't...

Plugins + Scripts BodyNet - Resources

Feature Request: I'm not currently subscribed, so maybe it's a bit cheeky to make a feature request, but ... ... ability to save a "morph preset diff"? The idea would be that, after a (successful) run of bodynet, the plugin logs the values of all the bonemorphs it has changed, and writes them...

    Benchmark Result Discussion

Hmmmmmh ... that's really interesting, thanks for pointing this out. Maybe time for a tutorial post? I don't think I've seen this mentioned anywhere else on the Hub.

I'll do a benchmark as soon as I have the new system bought and set up - however, that might take a couple weeks yet.

    Benchmark Result Discussion

Hmmmpf ... 9070XT is within 4% of the 5070Ti and within 9% of the 7900XTX in rasterizing - the Benchmark I saw even had a massively overclocked "9070XT(X)" that beats the crap out of both the 5070Ti and the 7900XTX. Good OC/UV potential, very power-efficient, "grown-up" AI upsampling, finally...

Well ... is 16Gb enough, though? (genuine question). Also, I'm a bit confused as to which upscaling tech benefits VaM at all - neither DLSS nor FSR is supported in VaM? (Or maybe I'm missing the point) Afaics, what really seems to help is very good video encoding, a bloody high bandwidth and...

Not sure about VaM performance - I looked at aggregated benchmarks by a German hardware mag (PCGH) of rasterization perf in HD and WQHD - and in those Benches, it comfortably beat the 4080. But I heard others mention that VaM seems to favor Nv cards, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 4080 beat...

Yeah, no joy for the rdna1 - I looked for quite a while. Correct. On pure rasterization perf, it certainly will. As regards my fears of FSR 3.1 locking me out of upscaling tech - probably unknowable. Oh? Srsly? DLSS upscaling don't work in VaM. That's ... usefull info. Thank you. I am...

Yeah, eagerly waiting for the tests myself. As regards performance, it looks like it might equal the Nv 5070Ti in rasterization and raytracing performance - and if that's the case, I'll try to get one - but I doubt it'll beat the 7900XTX in rasterization performance. The XTX rasterization perf...

    Plugins + Scripts VAR Manager

That looks like you downloaded Feelfar's varmanager, not Bill_Prime's (same name, same function, very different tools). Furthermore, you don't see an .exe, because you downloaded the sourcecode - you want the release version: https://github.com/feelfar/varManager/releases/tag/MMDLoader_v1.0.1.0...

Thanks for the super-detailed overview. You've somewhat alleviated my biggest bellyache: "worse VR support than Nvidia". I'm currently running a Quest 1 with a Radeon 5700XT and the Q1 and the Navi1 combo locked me out of nearly all performance-enhancing (VR) technologies that made newer...

    Benchmark Result Discussion

Anyone who'd like to comment on the (VaM-)merits of the 7900XTX relative to Nvidia 50xx? Headset will likely be a Quest3S, Desktop is WQHD. * Would 24Gb Vram make a difference in VaM, compared to, say 20Gb (or 16) * I could get an action price of ~900€ right now - pretty attractive relative to...

    Plugins + Scripts SecondHandle

Probably infeasible idea: The SecondHandle #01 demo, where you basically let the second handle move along a linear path while rotating around the one axis (the "tangent") made me think about how cool it'd be if it were possible to implement the same also for curved paths. Like: Define a spatial...

I'd be interested in an updated 13beta1! And thanks a lot for your work!

Guides Workflow for a 30 seconds animation

I didn't understand the "reposition tab" - is it a special function in Timeline? I get that it's somehow about transitions between faraway poses? But not what it actually is - a method, a safety technique that experienced animaters know, or a function in Timeline?

Plugins + Scripts CPU Performance Patch (Up to 30% faster physics, up to 60% more FPS)

Nope. Assembly-CSharp.dll is (a big part of the) the actual program - vam.exe is just the ... ignition? If you update to 1.22.0.7 and then overwrite with the performance-patched 1.22.0.3 version of Assembly-CSharp.dll, you've effectively rolled back to 1.22.03 (In a crude, likely unsafe way, but...

Plugins + Scripts CPU Performance Patch (Up to 30% faster physics, up to 60% more FPS)

The performance patch modified the 1.22.0.3 version of Assembly-CSharp.dll ([VaM_root]/VaM_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp.dll). The latest VaM-update again overwrites that .dll file. TL;DR - It kills the patch dead. Kaput. Fini.
