So, back from my very basic Blender knowledge a few years ago I know that you "unwrap" a 3D object to put a texture on it. I did some seamless textures back then by just mirroring a pattern and / or blending the two seams over at the cut. Worked fine.
So, we now have a skin with no straigth...

Hello Korielingo,
Do you have any idea how to import successfully Blender motion capture files into VAM? I made some good captures with the Kinect2, but importing the Blender files into VAM is a disaster.

Yes, you can import animation from Mixamo, but not directly. The way is : from Mixamo toBlender - In Blender make BVH file - Import BVH toVam with plugin.
I recently found some SFM models that I want to play around with in VAM. I'm horrible at 3D design and I'd most likely get too frustrated while trying to figure out how to port it over myself.
Is there anyone currently accepting commissions?

VAM is a pretty obscure software and if you go on youtube and search "virtamate" and check new, 99% of the results are South Koreans making Kpop music videos or something similar.
Is there a reason why VAM has huge popularity within the SK internet? Obviously they aren't using it as a sex...
Sorry if this is a dumb question but if this was a model from blender did you have to port it into DAZ for it to work in VAM, or was it ported from Blender then toVAM without using DAZ? (Nice model by the way).

Now you should know how to create a custom asset element, and probably how to properly create an assetbundle file. Using Unity Editor 2018.1.9f2 version, install the plug-in tool: Unity Bundle Browser. Drag the prefab file into the box and package an assetbundle file.
But: How do you set up...
Do i require the Virt A Mate software subscription in order to export the models into Blender?
I just acquired the models but it appears i need to Virt A Mate Hub and Subscription in order to use that VAMtoBlender Guide :(
My guide wont work for this, all you get is an extremely low res obj with no rigging whatsoever - the guide is meant as a quick and dirty way to sculpt an existing model.
It's possible but far more involved, you would need to backport the vam model to daz, convert it to genesis8 then move to...

This guideline is mainly intended to show you how to create a tail model that can move along with specific parts of a character and also be capable of experiencing physical collisions with objects in the VAM, such as the character itself or items in the scene.
This is the result I obtained by...
My post on smoothing and subdivides in blenderto mimic the final output in vam. It's not like a pro video, it's just me figuring out how to create morphs and have them appear in vam very close their blender counter part. DAZ sucks for morphing, so don't even bother with that. I'm sure zbrush...
