Hi Guest!
This is a notice regarding recent upgrades to the Hub. Over the last month, we have added several new features to improve your experience.
You can check out the details in our official announcement!
As I don't have experience with so many linked nodes I cannot offer any advice on fixing the problems.
You can try if this method may work for you:

A appearance preset does not change any plugins as you can see from this table:
https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/preset-definitions.189/
I see you mentioning two types of presets, appearance and look. ALWAYS use a appearance preset (app preset tab) and essentially NEVER a look preset...
well, you can run a core repair (vam_updater.exe) to see if anything essential is broken.
You have some kind of translated VaM, so I've no idea what you had to do to VaM, but it would help if you compared it with a copy of a clean VaM.
No, transparent bodies are not normal unless you make them that way-
Check if you don't have Postmagic or other similar loaded as they may not be suitable for VR.
You could have just checked MacGruber's resources as it's mentioned in the title, it's easily found:

Other factors like network congestion, distance to the headset, house characteristics, are more important points than wifi versions for evaluating what benefits you could have.
You can try clearing your cache and checking your visual preferences for anything "low".
As I've no idea how the scenes you refer to are done I cannot say if the problem is on the scene or your side.
