waiting for "improved wholesome 2" .... seriously you should check many elements of this scene atoms list ... starting from the exces of point lights and related shadows management. Besides those gorilla hair brows the female model at least, she is very nice ;-)

Model isn't mine originally. It belongs to Testitou, as well as hair and brows. Also, I change hairs to fast render mode before I save the scenes so it might be related to that.

You are right about lights, but my performance literally dies with good lights and this kind of setup doesn't take too much FPS away.
